What is a Customer Match audience?
Customer Match is Google's feature for targeting (or excluding) your own customer list in ads: you upload hashed emails or phone numbers, Google matches them to signed-in users, and your campaigns can treat known customers differently from strangers.
The practical uses are sharper than "more targeting": suppress current customers from acquisition campaigns, build lookalikes from your best buyers rather than all site visitors, and re-engage lapsed customers with specific offers.
It's also a privacy-era hedge — audiences built from your CRM keep working as third-party cookies fade, which is why clean first-party data collection feeds directly into cheaper acquisition.
