What is conversion attribution?

Conversion attribution is working out which marketing touchpoints actually produced a sale or lead — so budget flows to what works instead of what merely looks busy.

A real attribution setup ties every form fill, call, and purchase back through the visitor's journey: the ad they clicked, the pages they read, the previous visits before they converted. Without it, each platform grades its own homework and happily claims the same conversion twice.

The output that matters isn't a prettier report — it's a defensible answer to "which campaigns should get more money next month, and which should be cut."
