What is llms.txt?

llms.txt is an emerging standard: a plain-markdown file at yoursite.com/llms.txt that gives AI systems a curated summary of your site — who you are, what you offer, and which pages matter most.

Where robots.txt tells crawlers what they may read, llms.txt tells language models what they should read. It's a small, low-effort file that hands assistants a clean map instead of leaving them to reverse-engineer your navigation.

Adoption is still early, so it's an inexpensive edge: publish it, keep it updated as pages ship, and pair it with the schema and plain-text answers that AI systems actually quote.
